Day 17 - your favorite quotes...
The theme for today is supposed to be "your favorite quote from your favorite book," but that seems better suited for day 30, so today I'm going to share a collection of my favorite quotes from a beloved childhood favorite, Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Within the pages of this book, the title character Anne Shirley provides a treasure trove of memorable quotes.
“My life is a perfect graveyard of buried hopes.”
“It is ever so much easier to be good if your clothes are fashionable.”
“Red hair is my life long sorrow.”
“But if you call me Anne, please call me Anne with an 'e'.”
“People laugh at me because I use big words. But if you have big ideas, you have to use big words to express them, haven't you?”
“I'm in the depths of despair!"
“It's been my experience that you can nearly always enjoy things if you make up your mind firmly that you will.”
