Hello! Welcome to my little corner of the universe. Join me as I make my way through my infinite reading list one page at a time.
This may be the saddest, most depressing book I've ever read. I kept telling myself "you have to stop reading this book, it's just too freaking sad," but the story was so beautifully written that despite the sadness, I was hooked on the story of Adelaide Shadd and felt compelled to see it through to the end. The final chapter was worth every word of sadness and I can honestly say that I'm glad that I stuck with it.
