Hello! Welcome to my little corner of the universe. Join me as I make my way through my infinite reading list one page at a time.
It seems I have a knack for picking duds lately, but I stuck it out with this one because it's fairly short, volcanic eruptions are fascinating, and I am stubborn. This book goes a little something like this: blah, blah, blah, aqueducts...yada, yada, yada, more aqueducts...then about 210 pages into it, you finally get to the good stuff, searing heat surges, suffocating ash clouds, pounding pumice rain. Then just as abruptly and unexpectedly as Vesuvius erupted, the whole thing is over. Vulcan would be sorely disappointed, as was I.
